1:1 Teachers Don't Realize They're Missing Out on DOUBLE INCOME each Month!

Double income as a piano teacher? Piano teachers can't make a substantial career, can they? After all, they're JUST piano teachers... (don't even get me started on the word "JUST"...let's prepare the soapbox...)

What would YOU do with DOUBLE INCOME?

Let's just shatter this fallacy around money RIGHT NOW: wanting to make more money is not bad. It does not make you greedy. It does not cheapen or reduce the value of the experience you are giving to your students and their families.

If anything, it allows you to IMPROVE their experience. Since increasing my personal studio profit, I have been able to...

  • Provide a more professional onboarding experience for my new students

  • Implement digital software such as My Music Staff that has streamlined my admin tasks and gave me hours of my time back

  • Purchase educational apps (see my piano games page) for the benefit of my students

  • Invest in professional studio memberships and continuing education

One Strategy to Doubling Income: GROUP PIANO

In Spring 2023, I purchased a course that would change the financial trajectory of my studio forever.

By June 2023, I implemented 4 new group piano classes, with 4 students in each hour-long class.

Although I live in the low cost area of Northeast Ohio, my hourly rate sky-rocketed by 60%.

And the most wonderful part is, although I increased my income--the financial cost was actually CHEAPER for my piano parents! (Which they loved of course.)

Since its launch in early summer, I have circled back around to my group piano parents to see where I can continue to refine and polish the group piano experience. Here is what they said:

"[My daughter has] been loving it so far...she loves you and your classes so much."

"[My daughter] seems to really enjoy the group setting. I asked if she likes one on one or group. She said group"!

"[My son] has REALLY liked it"!

"[My daughter] has been loving the group lessons! She loves being with the other girls and has no complaints...she's been progressing well with it too!"

Out of all 20 students I have transitioned to group classes, only 1 has chosen to go back to 1:1 lessons. That's a 95% retention rate!

Visualizing the Financial Impact Group Piano could have for YOU

How many students would you ideally want to have in each group, and what would the rate be per student?

What would your new rate be per hour?

Ideally, how many groups would you want to have?

How much extra income will your group classes give to your studio?

Write down SPECIFIC numbers. If you don’t write it down, it is much more difficult to visualize the real, tangible possibilities. Now that you have the numbers...

What launch date would feel good based on the information you have written down?

Don't let your group piano planning stop there! I have a FREE 4-Day email series that goes over equipment & logistics, my multi-level structure, an insider scoop into the course I used, and going more in-depth into creating a plan.
